They currently trail South American side Paraguay 1-0 in the Estadio Regional Calvo y Bascuñán after a shocking error from their keeper Dwayne Kerr.

He rushed out of the box to meet a long ball but headed it straight to Toluca’s Edgar Benitez, who made no mistake with his 35 yard lob.

Jamaica lost their opener 1-0 to Uruguay last weekend, and a second defeat in two games would virtually assure them of elimination – even though two of the best third placed sides will also progress to the quarter finals.

Their final game is against Argentina on Saturday afternoon, and this is the country’s first ever appearance in the tournament.
