The Bosnia international has been linked to the trio of clubs after a season in which he failed to perform at his best for the Citizens. The 29-year-old scored 11 goals in 37 appearances as the team failed to win a single trophy in Manuel Pellegrini’s second campaign at the helm. After such a disappointment it is likely the monied club will look to bring in some new talent, with Dzeko perhaps leaving to make room for it.

Already the arrival of Wilfried Bony from Swansea City last January has knocked the forward down the pecking order at the Etihad. Sergio Aguero was already being prefered to the former Wolfsburg man up front, and the Ivory Coast international’s signing will mean Dzeko could get significantly less playing time next time round.

However, it would seem that the player wants to prove himself with the Sky Blues. Redzepagic said: “Every day he’s linked with another club. First Atletico Madrid, then Roma and now Chelsea. I’m bored of repeating that these stories are not true.

“He hasn’t rejected any offers because there hasn’t been any offers. The chances of him leaving are zero.”

Their London rivals are on the lookout for a new forward with Didier Drogba announcing that the prior season was his last at Stamford Bridge on their official website. What’s more, the stories surrounding the future of Loic Remy, such as this one from the Daily Mirror, could mean that Diego Costa is manager Jose Mourinho’s only front line striker at the club in the near future.
