1. Barcelona’s Gerard Pique swipe

After Barca sealed the treble by clinching the Champions League trophy, the Spanish centre-back couldn’t help but take a cheeky swipe at Ronaldo. The ex-Manchester United defender thanked the Portugal forward’s birthday party guest Kevin Roldan – who performed at the event.

Ronaldo was heavily criticised for going ahead with his party in February when only hours before Real had been thrashed 4-0 by city rivals Atletico Madrid.

Pique certainly believes – or rather would like their La Liga foe to believe – that the forward’s decision to spend the night partying was key to Barcelona’s success last season.

He said, “We are the best team in the world! Thanks to all and thanks to Kevin Roldan, it all started with you,” as quoted by Goal.
