The Argentina international is currently playing for his country at the Copa America. He has helped the team to qualify for the quarter finals, where they will face Colombia. The 29-year-old was also important in the 2014 World Cup for the South American side, starting in the quarters, semis, and final as they came agonisingly close to winning the tournament.

The midfielder was also key for his club last season as they managed to qualify for the Champions League for the first time since 2007. Biglia played 27 times in their Serie A campaign, scoring three goals and grabbing two assists from deep in midfield as the team finished third.

It is defensively where the former Anderlecht man is at his best, and also where Red Devils boss Louis van Gaal needs to improve his midfield. With Michael Carrick now 33-years-old, Daley Blind’s versatility meaning he could be needed elsewhere, and Phil Jones best played in the back line, United will need to bolster the position if they are going to compete on four fronts next season.
