The striker and teammate James Rodriguez stopped to sign an autograph and take a picture with a young child, who evaded security, as the rest of the squad prepared to board the coach ahead of their crucial game against Peru.

Take a look at the video below:

The pair will be in action for the national side on Sunday night as they look for victory over the Peruvians in order to progress into the quarter-finals of the 2015 Copa America tournament.

After losing their group stage opener against Venezuela, the Colombians avenged their defeat by Brazil at last summer’s World Cup finals to stay alive in the South American competition by winning 1-0.

All three teams are locked on three points meaning there is no room for mistake during the final round of group fixtures.

If Colombia are eliminated then Falcao’s transfer to Chelsea could be announced earlier than expected. A season-long loan deal is thought to have been agreed [via BBC Sport] with the former Atletico Madrid man set to be reunited with Diego Costa.

There are question marks as to why Blues manager Jose Mourinho is willing to take a gamble on a striker that found the back of the net just four times for United last season, but if Falcao can get firing again it will look like an inspired piece of business by the ‘special one’.
