Mirror Sport have revealed Tottenham stopper Hugo Lloris has a verbal agreement with owner Daniel Levy that if a offer of £17.8million is received then he will be allowed to leave White Hart Lane.

The claims are attributed to reports in French publication L’Equipe, who say the agreement has been in place since last summer when the Spurs number one signed a new long-term deal at the club.

The North London outfit have insisted in the past that Lloris has no buy-out clause, but they are likely to face a struggle to keep hold of their Frenchman this summer as he is determined to play Champions League football next season [via Mirror Sport].

United are expected to target the 28-year-old if De Gea’s much anticipated transfer to Real Madrid is finally confirmed at some point before August 31.

Despite having former Barcelona keeper Victor Valdes in the squad, it appears manager Louis van Gaal is targeting a long-term successor to De Gea and has also been linked with a move for Ajax and Holland keeper Jasper Cillessen.

Star Sport revealed earlier in the week that the Dutch side are demanding £18million for the 26-year-old and it looks to be that van Gaal will have to make a choice between Cillessen and Lloris.
