The Spanish international’s future at the Santiago Bernabeu has been hot topic in the media for the last few days following reports that he is a target for the Red Devils as well as bitter rivals Barcelona.

Ramos has two years left on his contract with Los Blancos and reports [via Metro Sport] claim that talks over an extension has stalled in recent weeks.

This has led to rumours he could end his decade-long stay at the club and has been linked with a shock move to the Camp Nou following claims from presidential candidate Jordi Majo that Ramos had been offered to the club [via SkySports].

Real Madrid are yet to deny those claims and that is understood to have upset Ramos so much that he is considering his future at the club.

However, cameras in Spain caught up with the 29-year-old earlier in the week and he said he was ‘relaxed’ about the entire situation [via ESPN].

The speculation is unlikely to go away until he announces where he will be playing his football next season and a move to Old Trafford does look likely as he’s reportedly taking English lessons, if reports in Independent Sport are to be believed.

United hold a genuine interest in Ramos according to BBC Sport and they would be open to a exchange involving goalkeeper David De Gea heading in the opposite direction [via Guardian Sport].

Although there is also a belief that Ramos is using United’s interest into securing a better deal with the club.
