Although no confirmation has come from either club, Mail Sport broke the news via their official Twitter account on Monday afternoon.

Cech has been at Chelsea since the summer of 2004 and was actually inherited by Jose Mourinho after Claudio Ranieri had struck a deal with French outfit Rennes in February of that year [via BBC Sport].

The reported £9million fee was certainly money well spent as he led the club to their first league title in 50 years during his debut season and also kept a record 24 clean sheets in that campaign.

Arguably his best moment in a Blues shirt came in the 2012 Champions League final against Bayern Munich as he saved a penalty from Arjen Robben in extra-time before saving twice more in the shootout as Chelsea became the first London side to win that European trophy.

However, with Thibaut Courtois now the number one at Stamford Bridge, Cech has decided to move to the Gunners and that been met with a overwhelming reaction on Twitter.
