Manchester United stopper David De Gea has dropped his most significant hint yet that a move to Real Madrid is close to completion after putting his Cheshire home up for sale.
While the Spaniard looks almost certain to be returning to Madrid, the deal was rumoured to have hit a stumbling block over a fee, along with the Red Devils’ interest in unhappy Los Blancos vice-captain Sergio Ramos.
Nonetheless, it seems that De Gea’s transfer to the Santiago Bernabeu is set to go ahead, after it was revealed that his house in Bowdon, Altrincham has been put on the market.

Latest reports on the 24-year-old’s proposed move to Rafael Benitez’s side claimed that Louis van Gaal was eyeing a straight swap deal for Ramos [via the Daily Star] – with the Dutchman prepared to play hardball in only granting the Old Trafford No.1 an exit if his international team-mate is included in the sale.
An unsettled No.1 at the Theatre of Dreams next season, however, could certainly prove problematic as they aim to return to the Champions League, and it seems only a matter of time before his transfer to the La Liga BBVA giants is confirmed.
