Manchester United transfer news
Manchester United, Manchester City and Real Madrid are all in a battle to sign Valencia centre-back Nicolas Otamendi this summer, according to reports.
The Argentine international, who has become regarded as one of the finest players in the world in his position, has a release clause of around £35m at the Mestalla and seems to be gearing for an exit.
There’s no doubt Otamendi could strengthen any of the above mentioned sides, with United in particular known to be tracking a big-name defender this summer.
The Red Devils are being strongly linked with Real Madrid’s Sergio Ramos, but the Daily Mirror mentions them as one of three teams also chasing Otamendi, along with rivals City and Real, who would want him to replace Ramos if he does head to Old Trafford.
