Chelsea are reportedly ready to offer AS Monaco three of their players this summer as part of a move to sign Radamel Falcao, according to the Daily Mirror.

The Colombian international is seemingly one of the Blues’ main targets to come in up front, with manager Jose Mourinho perhaps concerned by a lack of backup to Diego Costa next season, with veteran forward Didier Drogba confirmed as leaving Stamford Bridge at the end of the 2014/15 season.

Costa missed large chunks of the campaign just gone, leaving Drogba to come in several times, with Loic Remy another player who missed a lot of games due to different injury problems.

This clearly leaves a hole for Falcao to fill in Mourinho’s side, despite the former Manchester United man struggling so badly in his first season in English football, scoring only four times in a season-long stay at Old Trafford and failing to earn a permanent move.

With Chelsea keen to get this move through, it looks like they could send three of their young players to the Ligue 1 club on loan to avoid paying a loan fee, the Mirror claims.

This seems a smart move by the Premier League champions, who have an abundance of young talent currently unable to get a realistic look-in in their first-team plans, with the likes of Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Nathan Ake and Andreas Christiansen reported as being the players on offer.

These players could definitely benefit from playing regularly in a competitive league, with so many big names currently ahead of them in the pecking order at the Bridge.
