Liverpool to launch SHOCKING bid for Manchester United star
Ten players who could one day cost £100m, featuring Chelsea, Arsenal, Man City & Barcelona stars

This comes just a day after the same man revealed that the 28-year-old wanted a move to Anfield, according to the Daily Mirror. So this could be his way of telling the Reds to hurry up and make their move as the striker has other options on the table. AC Milan were linked to the forward by SPORT last month, and it could be that the Rossoneri are still interested in him.

The Colombia international scored an impressive 28 goals in 57 appearances last season to help Sevilla get in to the Champions League. Their qualification for Europe’s premier club competition makes it strange that Bacca wants to leave for the Merseyside team, who are not involved in the competition and will find it hard to get back in after finishing sixth in the Premier League last time round.

Liverpool are in need of a striker after failing to deal with being without Luis Suarez in the last campaign. Daniel Sturridge struggled with injuries and only managed to score six times, while Rickie Lambert, Fabio Borini, and Mario Balotelli all disappointed massively by contributing a paltry eight goals between them.

Even if Brendan Rodgers ends up not being able to get Bacca, the Northern Irishman has been linked to other forwards this summer. The Daily Telegraph has reported that the Reds are going to make a £25m bid for Aston Villa star Christian Benteke. The Belgian managed 16 goals in 38 games for the Midlands outfit in the last campaign and is a proven Premier League goalscorer.

However, he has not proven himself on the big stage like Bacca, who scored twice against Dnipro in the Europa League final. The brace helped them to win the match, and showed that pressure doesn’t seem to affect the Colombian.

With Liverpool taking only five points from a possible 24 against the teams that finished in the Premier League’s top four last season, it could be that this kind of big-game composure is just what they need up front, as well as that quality to have the ability to decide a game with the odd important goal.
