Manchester United and Real Madrid’s transfer talks have stalled somewhat after recent events, with neither team wanting to be first to concede ground in a possible exchange deal involving David de Gea and Sergio Ramos.

United want Ramos to strengthen their defence, but have had a £35m bid rejected. Meanwhile, Real have seen a £15m offer for De Gea turned down and will have to pay up closer to £30m to land him.

It remains to be seen what each club’s next move is, according to The Sun, who insist that the Spanish goalkeeper very much still wants out of Old Trafford for next season, and has put his house up for sale.

Ramos also wants to be allowed to move, but it may be that each club will be waiting for the other to make the first move.
