Manchester City are preparing to launch a stunning £71m bid to sign former Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba from Juventus this summer.
Manuel Pellegrini’s side seem to be leading the likes of Barcelona and Real Madrid in the hunt for the Frenchman’s signature, and are willing to smash their club record transfer fee to bring him to the Etihad Stadium.
According to the Daily Mirror, City are waiting for Pogba to tell Juventus he wants an exit, and will then proceed with this huge offer for the 22-year-old, who is widely regarded as the best young player in the world.
City’s financial strength has seen them land some world class talent in recent years, but a move for Pogba would arguably be the most exciting of the lot.
