Over the past 24 hours there have been various reports suggesting that Arsenal had completed a deal to sign long term target Arturo Vidal, the story was picked up by a number of sources, including of course the Metro.
The problem is however that the original ‘source’ for these reports was in fact making the whole thing up.

So whilst there may be truth to Arsenal’s overall interest in Vidal, after all Arsene Wenger’s been linked with a move for the Juventus man for some months now, it’s clear that a £23m deal has not been completed and a five year contract hasn’t been sewn up.
