Having fallen just short in the Champions League final, the Bianconeri appear keen to reinforce their options ahead of another assault on Europe’s elite continental club competition next term.

Sami Khedira has been signed on a free transfer, while Paulo Dybala has arrived on a big-money move from Palermo. Atletico Madrid forward Mario Mandzukic has also joined from Atletico Madrid, going someway to compensating for the loss of Carlos Tevez to Boca Juniors.

However, Juve are now looking to bring in young starlet Gerson, and have identified Fluminense’s Brazilian youngster as a bright prospect for the future, according to Tuttosport.

The 18-year-old could be available, but the Old Lady will need to pay more than €12m to sign the player, who could be a key player in the club’s future, according to Le 10 Sport.

However, they face considerable competition from both Barcelona—who made a bid of €3 million for the attacker last winter—and are believed to have a first-refusal clause for the forward.

Globo Esporte have also reported that Paris Saint-Germain are considering a move for the youngster, while Sport have reported that Chelsea are edging closer to a move for the starlet.

The French source report that the Flu will look for €15 million for the player, a fee which may dissuade Juve, who may baulk at such an outlay for an unproven talent.

Gerson can play as a striker or a wideman, but typically prefers an attacking-midfield role. The forward has represented Brazil at U20 level, featuring at the 2015 South American Youth Championship.
