Manager Brendan Rodgers is willing to let the 28-year-old go alongside players such as Mario Balotelli, Jose Enrique, Rickie Lambert, and Fabio Borini. This is despite him being a key player for the side when fit, greatly improving their midfield, as one of their only defensively-minded players in the middle of the park.

One sale that would be a major step towards covering these costs would be that of Raheem Sterling.
