The London Evenind Standard claim that the Stamford Bridge side have already agreed personal terms with the Colombian international as Jose Mourinho looks to beef up his attacking options.

Mourinho saw Didier Drogba leave the club this summer and is no doubt keen to bring in a striker who can offer solid back-up to first choice starter Diego Costa, with Loic Remy another in the Chelsea manager’s armoury.

29-year-old Falcao failed to impress during his loan spell at Man United last season, the usually prolific striker netting just four goals in 29 appearances, and Mourinho will hope the experienced marksman gets back into gear in 2015/16.

Falcao scored 72 goals in two seasons at FC Porto before moving to Atletico Madrid, the South American then bagging 70 goals in two campaigns at the Vicente Calderon, before moving to the Stade Louis II.

Once again Falcao was among the goals when at the principality club, scoring 11 goals in 19 appearances, before he suffered a serious knee injury that saw him sidelined for an extended period. He hasn’t been quite the same since.

The Evening Standard confirm Falcao is expected to join Chelsea for their pre-season training camp in Montreal later in July, having completed his involvement in the Copa America.

The Daily Mirror claim that three Chelsea youngsters could move to AS Monaco on loan deals as part of any Radamel Falcao transfer.
