22-year-old French international Pogba is rightly considered one of the hottest prospects in world football and Jose Mourinho will hope to beat Barcelona in pursuit of the Serie A star.

Sport claim that Barcelona will offer €80m (£56m) initially with another €10m (£7m) dependent on variables whilst Man City are prepared to offer a flat fee of €100m (£70m) for the Juventus star.

Barcelona’s offer would we triggered in the summer of 2016 due to the Nou Camp side’s current transfer ban and Juventus must now weigh up their options.

Pogba has proven a massive success since moving to the Italian giants back in July 2012 when his Man United contract had expired and as such any big money sale of the midfield powerhouse would represent a huge profit for Juventus.

Over the course of his three seasons at Juventus, Pogba has matured into a superbly effective performer, playing a pivotal role in the club’s three successive Serie A title triumphs, as well as helping Massimiliano Allegri’s side to a Champions League final berth last term.

Chelsea romped to a Premier League title triumph in 2014-15 but Mourinho appears keen to strengthen his squad this summer; acquiring a player of Paul Pogba’s quality and stature would provide a real statement of intent.
