The Gunners confirmed the news that Cech had agreed to join the club via their official Twitter account and the Czech Republic international has now brought an end to 11 highly successful years in West London.

After signing for the club from French side Rennes in the summer of 2004, he played a key role as the club landed their first League title in 50 years as he kept 21 clean sheets during his debut season.

In total his trophy haul count with the Blues has ended at an impressive 15, with arguably the crowning moment coming in the 2012 Champions League final victory over Bayern Munich.

Cech saved a penalty from former teammate Arjen Robben with the score locked at 1-1 in extra-time and then repeated the trick in the shoot-out as the Blues became the first London team to lift that European trophy.

However, it would appear that some Blues supporters have chosen to forget the contributions that Cech made over the last decade, judging by a selection of messages on Twitter.
