Spanish journalist, Pipi Estrada, speaking on Spanish TV programme El Chiringuito, claimed on Tuesday night that Pep Guardiola has offered his former La Liga rival a five-year contract worth €60m.

Estrada confidently voiced his belief that Pep Guardiola’s brother, Pere – the Spaniard’s agent – has made contact with the Santiago Bernabeu vice-captain regarding a transfer to the Allianz Arena.

Nonetheless, despite the lucrative offer from the Bundesliga giants, Ramos is said to only be interested in negotiating a deal with the Red Devils, suggesting that the Spaniard could ignore advances from other clubs for his signature.

Spanish football expert Graham Hunter told Sky Sports, “Ramos has told Madrid directly that he is absolutely and completely committed to leaving the club this summer, that he specifically wants them to begin negotiations with Manchester United and that he doesn’t want them to negotiate with anybody except Manchester United.”

On Tuesday night, it was reported by BBC Sport that Louis van Gaal had offered Real £28.6m for the 29-year-old’s signature – far short of the La Liga BBVA giants’ valuation – but the Dutchman is playing hardball over improving the figure.

According to the Mirror, the former Netherlands manager will not increase his opening bid for Ramos unless Los Blancos also improve their £20m offer for David De Gea.
