The possibility of a Schweinsteiger-Di Maria part-exchange deal has been mooted by Bild. The latter only moved to Manchester last season, but endured a mixed maiden campaign in the EPL.

However, as reported by talkSPORT, the Catalan coach has no intentions of bringing the former Benfica star to Bavaria this summer.

“I don’t have to watch Argentina games, because I know him and his style of playing very well,” Guardiola began.

“United did not pay so much money for nothing, he is a great player. Although such transfer fees are sometimes really crazy.”

When asked whether he was considering a move for Di Maria, the coach responded: “No.”
