Antoine Griezmann (Atletico Madrid) – £43m
Though it would be unfair to claim that Willian didn’t shine at points last season it’s undeniable that the Brazilian could be seen as something of a weak link in the final third.
The 26 year old bagged just two goals and three assists in 36 Premier League appearances in 2014/15 and frankly that return is miserly given Chelsea won the title at a canter.
Griezmann would offer Mourinho an improvement in a number of areas. Whilst at Real Sociedad the 24 year old proved very effective in a wide-attacking role, where he could ably replace Willian.
However since moving to Atletico Madrid the French international has excelled as a strong goal-scoring force, scoring 22 goals in La Liga alone last term, and could offer Mourinho an alternative to Diego Costa up front as and when necessary.
