Old Trafford winger moves to Super Lig side.

Turkish giants Fenerbahce have confirmed the signing of Man United winger Nani.

The 28-year-old spent last season on loan at Sporting Lisbon, a short-term switch that acted as a very effective shop window for the Portuguese international, and will be unveiled by Istanbul based side Fenerbahce later today [via Goal.com].

Nani moved to Man United in 2007 but has been a peripheral figure in recent campaigns, however his spell with Sporting has helped to secure a new challenge.

Last term, Nani bagged 12 goals in all competitions at Sporting Lisbon but the abundance of wide-attacking options in Louis van Gaal’s squad left a summer exit increasingly likely.

Van Gaal can call upon the likes of Ashley Young, Juan Mata, Angel Di Maria, Adnan Januzaj and new signing Memphis Depay to fill spot on the flanks and Nani will hope to re-ignite his career at the Surku Saracoglu Stadium.

Nani’s Man United team-mate Robin van Persie has been strongly linked with a move to Fenerbahce [via The Guardian] with the Dutchman having endured a fairly average campaign at Old Trafford in 2014/15, netting just ten Premier League goals.
