Chelsea could pip Barca to Pogba.
Chelsea and Manchester City may have been handed a big boost in the race to sign Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba this summer, with the news that Barcelona are considering other options.
The Catalan giants may not be able to afford the French international, who can’t register with the club until their transfer ban ends in January 2016 anyway, which could now see the Premier League duo lead the race for his signature.
Meanwhile, Barca are plotting a raid on Paris Saint-Germain for classy Italian playmaker Marco Verratti, who has been compared with Nou Camp legend Xavi, as well as with his fellow countryman Andrea Pirlo.
Previously linked with the likes of Manchester United, the 22-year-old is now one of Barcelona’s top midfield targets for this summer, according to Fichajes.com.
