The 30-year old has been a mainstay of the Portuguese giant’s starting eleven in recent seasons, but is now looking for a move.

The article reports that Orlando have made him an offer of between $300,000 and $500,000 in wages, and that Benfica are happy to let the player leave on a free transfer.

Amorim is a versatile option for Adrian Heath’s side. He is equally comfortable playing in defensive midfield or attacking midfield, and can also play as an emergency right back when required.

He joined Benfica on a deal from Belenenses in 2008 and has gone on to make almost 100 league appearances for the club.

He has also picked up fourteen caps for the Portuguese national side.

The deal is expected to be completed in the coming days.
