The German left Borussia Dortmund at the end of last season, and announced that he was taking a sabbatical from the game shortly afterwards. However, it seems a large group of gamblers think he could be returning sooner than expected and with a far less illustrious team than predicted.

The 48-year-old managed BVB for seven years, winning the Bundesliga twice and the DFB-Pokal Cup once. As a result he has been linked to the Arsenal and Real Madrid jobs, and at the very least is expected to take over at a side playing in Europe.

Last season the Foxes scraped free of relegation in the dying embers of the campaign. Despite this the Klopp, who was 100/1 last week and 50/1 just Tuesday morning with some bookmakers, is now at just 5/1 to take charge with Bet365. Perhaps just as surprisingly, former Chelsea boss Guus Hiddink is the favourite at 7-4.

Recently Klopp came top of a poll of Leicester fans on who they wanted as their manager, and his agent revealed that he would be happy to join a club outside the top four. Except from this there is no evidence for why he has jumped in to the favourites for the job.
