Eagles boss Alan Pardew knows the 29-year-old well from his time at Newcastle United and it appears his ambitious move to sign the French international is almost complete.

Cabaye is yet to agree terms with the South London side though a move back to the Premier League may well tempt the cultured performer.

Since moving to PSG in January 2014 Cabaye has struggled to retain a foothold in the Parc des Princes starting eleven, negatively affecting his standing in Didier Deschamps’ national team set-up, and a move to Crystal Palace will certainly offer him a better chance of regular action.
