According to the Mirror, the West Bromwich Albion forward has reportedly become disillusioned with Ward’s approach and his outlook, and has called time on the agent, despite still having a contract with Ward’s agency until November.

21-year-old Berahino joined forces with Ward during the 2014-15 season after the player representative left Impact Sports Management to strike out alone.

Back in February, Berahino’s relationship with the Albion threatened to fall apart with the club reportedly unhappy with the forward’s attitude [Telegraph].

Berahino admitted that he was keen to move onto ‘bigger things’ and didn’t see his future with West Bromwich.

The striker’s comments were a concerning foreshadowing of Sterling’s recent dispute with Liverpool.

The forward—also managed by Ward—has seen his relationship with Liverpool completely break down following the agent’s insistence that his man would not be signing a new deal with the club.

The agent also slammed both Liverpool and club legend Jamie Carragher, a figure who has been particularly critical of the advice given by Ward to his clients.

While Berahino looks set to remain at the Albion for the time being, Ward looks set to get his way with Sterling.

The forward has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester City, although it remains to be seen whether the Sky Blues will match the Reds’ £50 million asking price.
