According to the Express, Louis van Gaal has warned the Baggies that the Northern Ireland international carries a price-tag of £10m, as the former Netherlands manager is keen to land as much cash as possible for the centre-back before his contract expires next summer.

The Express suggest that the Premier League giants are willing to offload the 27-year-old – who has 11-years of service to the club – ahead of the 2015-16 campaign, as van Gaal has his eyes on Real Madrid’s Sergio Ramos and Valencia’s Nicolas Otamendi.

The report claims that Baggies manager Tony Pulis is keen on Evans’ signature – as he aims to make significant changes to his current side over the summer – but will not meet United’s hefty asking price, despite his interest.

With van Gaal’s desire to land Ramos and Otamendi, Chris Smalling, Phil Jones, Marcos Rojo and Evans could be set for limited playing time at the Theatre of Dreams next season, and in selling the latter, the Dutchman would have at least one – potentially unhappy – defender to worry about.
