Manchester United reportedly want to sign two Real Madrid players as part of a deal that would see David de Gea move to the Bernabeu this summer, according to Spanish news source Cope.

The Red Devils are said to be keen on landing both Sergio Ramos and Keylor Navas if they lose their star player, with Louis van Gaal likely to be in need of defensive reinforcements.

Ramos is one of the best centre-backs in the world and would be an upgrade on players like Jonny Evans, Phil Jones and Chris Smalling, while Navas would be a direct replacement for De Gea in goal.

The Costa Rica international really impressed at previous club Levante before moving and becoming second fiddle to Iker Casillas in the Spanish capital, though he could now be offered a chance to revive his career at Old Trafford.

With De Gea proving so important to United last season, it makes sense that the club do not want to lose the 24-year-old easily, and are making high demands as Madrid continue to pursue him as their latest Galactico.

United already have Victor Valdes as a backup option in goal, but additional information from the Metro suggests that Navas would be targeted as the side’s new number one as a direct replacement for De Gea.
