Juventus’ new signing Sami Khedira wants his fellow German Mesut Ozil to join him at the club from Arsenal this summer, according to Italian source Tuttosport.

The pair have played together for their national side and at Real Madrid in the past, and it seems Khedira could try to help his new club make this ambitious signing from the Gunners.

Ozil has not always been at his best since moving from Real to the Emirates Stadium, though he did show some improvement in form towards the end of last season which would make a sale somewhat surprising.

It remains to be seen if the 26-year-old himself would favour the move to Turin, but Tuttosport claims there is interest from the Serie A champions and that Khedira could play a role in the deal. However, the report also suggests there could be good news for Arsenal this summer.

According to the Italian publication, Juventus could be willing to do business and sell Arturo Vidal to the north London giants, with Arsene Wenger seemingly still considering a move for the Chilean international, who’d be an ideal buy for the club as they look to solve that problem midfield position.

Khedira’s arrival at Juve this summer could mean there is some room for Massimiliano Allegri to let Vidal go, and Tuttosport reports that the Champions League runners-up could sell the player for a fee in the region of £25m.

Although a direct swap deal does not seem to be on the cards, a move for Arsenal to lose Ozil and bring in Vidal could be ideal to their needs for next season.
