City eye world class playmaker (not De Bruyne!)

Manchester City are being strongly linked with a £48m bid to sign Real Madrid attacking midfielder Isco this summer, according to sources in Spain.

The Premier League runners-up have already brought in Raheem Sterling from Liverpool for £49m, and could be set for more big spending after their Financial Fair Play restrictions were lifted.

Isco has been linked with the club before, having worked under manager Manuel Pellegrini at their old side Malaga, while Arsenal and Chelsea have also shown a strong interest.

Still, Fichajes.net now claims that City are lining up a big-money offer for the Spanish international, 23, who has not always been a guaranteed starter in his time at the Bernabeu.
