Juventus have been linked with a move for Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot as a potential replacement for Bayern Munich-bound Arturo Vidal.

Chile midfielder Vidal has long been tipped for an exit from Turin this summer, but while Arsenal had been linked to the dynamic box-to-box star [Metro], it looks likely that the Gunners will miss out on the technically-proficient operator.

Instead, Bayern look set to nip in and steal the South American, with Pep Guardiola possibly viewing the 28-year-old as an ideal replacement for and potential upgrade on Bastian Schweinsteiger.

While it remains to be seen whether Arsenal will look to make a late bid for the player, the BBC report that Vidal’s move to Bayern is close.

Manchester United had also previously been linked with a move for the ex-Bayer Leverkusen man, who scored the header which ultimately clinched the Serie A title for Juve last season [Independent].

Vidal looks set to become the second key midfielder to leave Juve this summer following the departure of Andrea Pirlo to New York City Football Club.

Frenchman Paul Pogba has also been linked to the exit door [The Guardian].

Sky Italia [via Le 10 Sport] report that, as they look to replace their departing midfield stars, Juventus may well turn to PSG’s Rabiot.

The 20-year-old has grown increasingly unhappy with his lack of first-team opportunities at PSG, and appears to be heading for the departure lounge this summer.

However, Juve may face competition for the highly-regarded youngster.

According to the Standard, both Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United are keen on the France U21 international and may yet make a move for the Saint-Maurice-born youngster.
