Man United close in on trio of new signings as Louis van Gaal’s spending spree continues

Old Trafford side seek to bring in three more new faces.

Man United are set to complete the signing of Barnsley youngster Mason Holgate according to the Daily Star.

The teenager has impressed during his trial at Man United and Louis van Gaal has apparently won the race to snap up the 18-year-old in a £1m deal.

One imagines that Man United would elect to loan out Holgate in order to offer the defender some much needed experience.

Though Louis van Gaal is set to keep hold of David De Gea this summer the Dutchman has already eyed up a replacement for when the Spaniard leaves on a free transfer in 12 months time.

Man United are reportedly close to agreeing a deal to bring in Ajax custodian Jasper Cillessen according to the Daily Star.

The Old Trafford side are also set to launch a £22m bid that will trigger Barcelona star Pedro’s transfer release clause according to the Guardian.
