Allianz Arena giants seal deal to sign South American midfielder.

Bayern Munich have agreed a deal to sign Juventus playmaker Arturo Vidal according to The Guardian.

The 28-year-old has impressed over the course of his four years in Turin, during which time he has played a key role in the Juventus securing four successive Serie A titles.

The Guardian claims a €37m (£25.9m) fee for Vidal has been agreed and that the midfielder will sign a four year deal worth £90k a week.

Vidal is the latest big name star to leave Juventus this summer with Argentine forward Carlos Tevez having left the club for Boca Juniors earlier this summer.

Arsenal had been strongly linked with a move to sign Vidal [via the Daily Mail] but the Copa America-winning star looks set to join Bayern Munich.

Vidal spent four successful seasons in the Bundesliga with Bayer Leverkusen, prior to his move to Italy, and Pep Guardiola will hope the attack-minded midfielder will act as a solid replacement for Bastian Schweinsteiger, following the German international’s move to Man United.

As reported by the Express, Manchester United were rumoured to be keen on Vidal, although the signings of Schweinsteiger, as well as Southampton’s Morgan Schneiderlin, look to have ended their need for the Chilean.

Although Arturo Vidal’s contribution to the Juventus cause was less evident in 2014/15 than in previous campaigns, his goal and assist tallies being below those of earlier seasons, the Chilean was still a pivotal member of a Massimiliano Allegri side that not only secured a domestic title but also reached the Champions League final.
