San Siro side set to snap up unwanted Etihad Stadium forward.

Inter Milan are set to sign Man City bit-part player Stevan Jovetic according to Sky Italia.

Former Etihad Stadium boss Roberto Mancini is closing in on a deal to bring in the Montenegro international this summer with Manuel Pellegrini seemingly not seeing the former Fiorentina man as an important part of his plans.

Man City paid £22m for Jovetic in July 2013 but the cultured forward has found himself playing a waiting game since day one.

Initially Jovetic found himself behind Sergio Aguero, Alvaro Negredo and Edin Dzeko in the Man City pecking order and the arrival in January of Wilfried Bony all but ended his career at the club.

When called upon the 25-year-old proved fairly effective, scoring 11 goals in 43 appearances of which 25 were from the bench.
