Manchester United winger Angel Di Maria is set to join Paris Saint-Germain, with the two clubs having agreed a £45.4 million fee according to France Football [via talkSPORT].
The 27-year-old didn’t enjoy the best of debut seasons at Old Trafford, the former Real Madrid man coming nowhere near justifying his £59.7m price-tag.
Di Maria managed just three goals in 27 Premier League appearances, all of those coming in his first five games, and reports have suggested that the Argentine has asked to leave Man United this summer [Daily Star].
Louis van Gaal saw Juan Mata and Ashley Young both impress in wide roles in 2014/15 and the Dutch manager moved early in the summer transfer window to bring in PSV Eindhoven youngster Memphis Depay, heaping even more scrutiny on Di Maria’s future at the Premier League club.
talkSPORT claim PSG will hand Di Maria a five-year deal that will net him £6.9 million per year.

Louis van Gaal has already brought in the aforementioned Depay as well as Matteo Darmian, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Morgan Schneiderlin, but a number of reports suggest the veteran manager isn’t ready to stop his summer spending.
