Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal is still keen to bring in a ‘Galatico’ signing before the transfer window slams shut according to the Daily Telegraph.

The Dutch manager has already conducted a great deal of business this summer with the Old Trafford side having brought in Memphis Depay, Matteo Darmian, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Morgan Schneiderlin and Sergio Romero.

Man United have also offloaded a number of members of their first-team squad with Robin van Persie and Nani leaving for Galatasaray and Tom Cleverley having been released ahead of his move to Everton.

The Daily Telegraph state that Louis van Gaal has spent £225 million on players since he arrived at the club a year ago and the veteran manager is still keen to bring in a superstar signing. Indeed, this source also claims that had either Gareth Bale or Cristiano Ronaldo expressed an interest to move to Man United then the pair would have been pursued.
