Arsenal and Marseille face fresh COMPETITION for POWERHOUSE transfer target

Stade Malherbe Caen midfielder Ngolo Kante has emerged as a transfer target for Olympique Lyonnais, with Les Gones set to compete with Arsenal and Olympique de Marseille for the midfielder’s services.

Le Parisien [via Le 10 Sport], report that OL are set to join the chase for Kante, and would love to see the midfield powerhouse at the Stade Gerland next season.

Competition is increasing for the tenacious star, with Newcastle United and Southampton having previously been linked with a move for the Paris-born powerhouse [Daily Mail].

Leicester City have also considered the ex-Boulogne man [Express], although favourites for his signature must surely be Marseille.

OM chief Marcelo Bielsa is considering Kante as a potential replacement for Giannelli Imbula in the heart of the park [Le 10 Sport].

The France U21 international had been linked with a move to either Arsenal or Chelsea [Express], but instead opted to move to FC Porto, joining the Champions League contenders at the beginning of the month [UEFA.com].
