Chelsea star arrives in Italy ahead of transfer to Serie A giants AS Roma (Video)

Chelsea winger Mohamed Salah is on the verge of completing his permanent transfer to Serie A giants AS Roma after being captured on camera in the Italian capital.

The Egyptian international has struggled to adjust to the Premier League since his arrival in West London during the 2014 January transfer window from Swiss outfit Basel and spent the second half of last season on loan at Fiorentina where he immediately became a fan favourite after bagging a brace against Juventus in an Coppa Italia tie.

There has been huge interest in the 23-year-old from various top clubs across Europe, but it appears Roma have beaten off competition from the likes of Viola and Napoli to sign Salah as the lure of Champions League football seems to have been a key factor.
