Arsenal goalkeeper relishing season-long loan spell with Serie A giants (Video)

Wojciech Szczesny is targeting success in Serie A and the Champions League after joining AS Roma on a season-long loan deal from Arsenal.

The 25-year-old is set to spend the entire 2015-16 campaign with the Italian giants after losing his status as the first choice goalkeeper for the North London outfit following a string of poor performances which culminated with an error-strewn display in the 2-0 defeat against Southampton at St Mary’s on New Years Day.

To make matters worse he was caught smoking in the shower after the game and was then subsequently dropped in favour of David Ospina, who kept goal for the Premier League and European games for the remainder of the campaign.

Szczesny’s last game for the Gunners came in the FA Cup final victory over Aston Villa where he was able to keep a clean sheet, but he is now firmly focused on winning trophies with his new club this season:
