Red Devils boss Louis van Gaal recently admitted that he doesn’t know where the 27-year-old is, but it seems that he has now been located. The Argentina international is nursing an injury that he picked up in the Copa America, and won’t leave the country until it is time for him to have a medical and sign a contract with the Ligue 1 champions. They are going to sign him for £40 million according to the Daily Mail.
“He is still in Argentina. I don’t know if he keeps missing flights so he doesn’t have to join up with the United squad, but he’s still in Argentina – he’s nursing the injury picked up in the Copa America final,” French football expert Julien Laurens said, “He’s waiting for the deal to be agreed between both clubs and then he’ll fly over to Paris to pass a medical and sign his contract – I think he will stay in Argentina until the deal is announced.
“PSG have been optimistic for the last month and a half but it seems it’s getting closer and closer now, especially between his agent Jorge Mendes and the club.”
