Agent responds to Arsenal interest.

The agent of Borussia Dortmund star Marco Reus has responded to recent rumours linking his client with Liverpool and Arsenal.

The German international, valued at around £48m, has long been linked with an exit from Dortmund and a move to a bigger club, though it seems he is set to stay where he is for another season.

This will come as a big blow for Liverpool and Arsenal as they eye new attacking players this summer, with Reus’ representatives admitting to being flattered by the interest, though not yet keen on a move.

“We read the rumours that are circulating about an alleged transfer for Marco,” they are quoted in the Daily Star.

“We can say with certainty that the player is having a wonderful time at Borussia and is flattered by the interest of many European teams, but recently decided to stay in Dortmund.”
