Agent confirms Chelsea & PSG interest in client

An agent representing Galatasaray left-back Alex Telles has confirmed his client has been the subject of interest from both Chelsea & PSG, according to Eurosport.

The 22-year-old Brazilian has impressed since leaving Gremio for the Turkish capital 18 months ago and played a key role in his side’s Super Lig title triumph in 2014/15.

Telles has been strongly linked with a move to Chelsea, where he’s been seen as a possible replacement for Filipe Luis following the 29-year-old’s move back to Atletico Madrid (Gianluca di Marzio via the Daily Star).

Jose Mourinho is said to also be an admirer of Augsburg’s Ghana international Baba Rahman (via The Guardian) though any left-back signing will have to battle hard to force Cesar Azpilicueta out of the Chelsea starting eleven.

Azpilicueta has been a virtual ever-present since moving to Chelsea from Marseille in August 2012, with the Spanish international making 132 appearances in all competitions over the course of the past three seasons.

Chelsea eased to a fairly straight-forward Premier League title triumph in 2014/15 but Jose Mourinho will not want to rest on his laurels and has moved to strengthen his squad this summer.

With Didier Drogba leaving the West London side, the Stamford Bridge side brought in Radamel Falcao on a loan deal whilst also signing Stoke City keeper Asmir Begovic to replace Petr Cech, who left to join London rivals Arsenal.
