Deal BACK ON: Manchester United get huge boost in bid to sign €89m world superstar

United could still pull off amazing deal from the brink of collapse.

Manchester United have been handed a huge boost in their efforts to sign Real Madrid centre-back Sergio Ramos, according to reports today.

The Spanish international was thought to have signed a new contract at the Bernabeu this week, but it has now emerged that he is angered at stories of his new deal breaking prematurely.

United could now try again for the £63m-rated defender, though it seems unlikely that they would pay that kind of price for a player approaching his 30s.
