Tottenham find buyers for £66m flop pair

Tottenham have found buyers interested in signing expensive flops Erik Lamela and Roberto Soldado.

White Hart Lane boss Mauricio Pochettino has spent the summer offloading a mountain of under-performing talents and could well be set to continue doing so with Portuguese site O Jogo claiming Benfica are keen on forward Soldado whilst the Metro believes Lamela could be on his way to FC Porto.

Pochettino has already sold Paulinho, Etienne Capoue, Lewis Holtby, Younes Kaboul, Benjamin Stambouli and Vlad Chiriches and can easily manage without Messrs Lamela and Soldado.

Tottenham spent £30m on Argentine attacker Lamela and £26m on proven La Liga ace Roberto Soldado and neither player has come close to justifying the fees the North London side paid AS Roma and Valencia respectively.

Former Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas brought both players in using funds from the sale of Gareth Bale to Real Madrid and the duo have managed just nine Premier League goals in a combined total of 90 top tier appearances.
