Pedro is not the only signing United are after though, with Real Madrid ace Pedro also linked. The 32-year-old is an option after they saw offers for teammate Sergio Ramos turned down.
The 32-year-old would likely take the rest of the Di Maria money to sign, but could be worth it. Last season the Red Devils’ back line looked lacking in leadership, with Chris Smalling, Phil Jones, and Jonny Evans also looking error-prone.
The Portuguese could organise the defence on the pitch as well as be relied on in pressure situations, in part solving both problems. Is this the best way United could spend the money brought in by selling Di Maria?
