Arsenal transfer boost: £45m striker to REJECT new contract from current club

Arsenal get huge boost in striker chase.

Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain will snub the offer of a new contract with the Serie A club amid interest from Arsenal and other big names this summer.

The Argentine international is valued at around £45m and has also been linked with the likes of Manchester City this summer after impressive form in Serie A.

Still, with Napoli failing to qualify for the Champions League, it seems they could lose some of their best players this summer, with Spanish winger Jose Callejon also linked with an exit and attracting interest from the Gunners and Chelsea.

Higuain would be a fine signing for Arsenal, though it remains to be seen if he is their priority target for the moment, with his old Real Madrid team-mate Karim Benzema being strongly linked with the club.
