Arsenal and Liverpool 31-goal striker target agrees MAJOR deal amid £40m transfer speculation

Olympique Lyonnais striker Alexandre Lacazette has finally put to bed any possible transfer this summer after putting pen-to-paper on a new contract with the Ligue 1 heavyweights.

Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United [via the Express] have all been linked with making a move for the France international, but he has extended his current deal at the Stade de Gerland until 2019, the club today confirmed.

Lyon coach Hubert Fournier is said to value Lacazette at £40m following a stunning 2014-15 season [via the Daily Mail], in which he finished top scorer of Ligue 1 with 27 goals.

There had previously been suggestions that the French outfit would be willing to cash in on the centre-forward this summer, yet at 24-years-old his price-tag is only likely to increase, and there is therefore perhaps no rush for the club to consider selling.
